Psaki The eldest of three daughters was born in Stamford, Connecticut in 1978 to a psychotherapist Eileen (nee Dolan) Medvey[9 and Dimitrios "James" R. Psaki (Greek: Demetrios R. Psakes), a former real estate developer with a grandfather who emigrated from Greece in 1904 and whose grandmother was of Irish descent. She got married to her parents in the year 1976. Psaki is also a Polish-American. In 1996, she graduated from Greenwich High School. In 2000, she graduated from the College of William & Mary. She received a degree in English as well as sociology. She is an active Chi Omega member. Psaki was a William & Mary backstroke swimmer was on the William & Mary Tribe Athletic team for two seasons. Psaki started her professional career in 2001, as an election candidate for the U.S. Senate of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign for 2004. Between 2005 and the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced that Psaki will serve as a political analyst during 2022's United States Presidential Elections. In 2023 she will host an online Peacock streaming show on MSNBC.
